Room in the Inn is a multi-church, county ministry in which various churches host homeless neighbors. We host the homeless of Marshall Co. at our church facility with hot meals, fellowship, & a place to sleep one Friday night per month, November through March.
Being the hands & feet of Jesus in our community is our top priority. That’s why we serve our neighbors through food giveaways. The giveaways vary in scope, from individual community or school, to county-wide. Contact us below to find out how to get involved with our next food giveaway.
Our Missions endeavors include local, U.S., and foreign missions projects, including construction as well as children’s programs, etc. Lake City usually organizes at least one U.S. or foreign trip per year, and also looks for local opportunities to help those with practical needs, especially widows, vets and single moms. Lake City operates a contemporary Christian radio station 24-7, with live DJs, 6-10 a.m. each weekday morning. The Varsity Radio Show is also a part of this ministry. Christian Women’s Job Corp is a faith-based program combining practical life skills training with spiritual growth, through a classroom setting and personal mentoring for women who need a fresh start. Transportation can be a problem for many people. That’s why we offer van services to get them here for the service or ministry they want to be involved with. Our Life Groups meet in homes around Marshall County, every 3rd Sunday night. They include a full meal, fun, faith discussion and prayer. There is a new line-up and sign up three times per year – January, May and September.
First Steps is a Series of 8 discussions about the DNA, alues, and mission of our fellowship. We meet twice per year, for 8 Sundays, at 9:30 a.m. Participation in this series is a prerequisite for membership here at Lake City.
